CAWLIn this chaotic, crazy life of mine, in the darkest, bleakest of days,
when there appears no hope of change, how do I find hope,
burdened, beaten down by my cares?

Hope is there. It is hidden………..

in the birdsongs,
melodies of the Creator,

in a rising sun,
a beginning,

in the yellow spring daffodils,
lifting their faces towards the sun,

in the budding trees, leaves appear,
a promise,

in the outstretched hand of St. Francis of Assisi,

in the purple violets,
determined to survive,

in the gentle breeze,

in the sound of breaking waves,

in the quiet breath of life,

When I allow myself to be…me, then the chaos becomes calm,
and hope appears.
